The analysis of cofferdam construction based on risk assessment using HIRARC and FMEA methods

Abstract Cofferdam work on dam construction has the potential for hazard risks in terms of occupational health and safety (OHS) such as extreme conditions weather natural disasters. This study aims to identify analyse these hazards using Hazard Identification Risk Assessment Control (HIRARC) Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. The results showed that there were 16 including 12 identified moderate 4 low risks. percentage dominant risk from Priority Number (RPN) value shows highest is 9.69% cofferdam collapse due rain/flood. control technique used based hierarchy elimination, substitution, engineering control, personal protective equipment (PPE).
